Michal Huizinga “Micki” comes to IMG Digital with a wealth of design experience.
Prior to her appointment as Creative Director, Micki gained much of her experience living & working in Southern California. Early in her career she worked as a Graphic Designer & Executive Assistant to the acclaimed artist, Wyland, and then with James Coleman, a former Disney artist. Micki went on to manage the art department at a tech start-up company for several years. While there, she was responsible for overseeing the company’s print and digital needs, including the creation of monthly catalogs, direct mail pieces, new product packaging and logos, in addition to directing photo shoots of products and staff.
Micki, who studied at Platt College and the Art Institute of Southern California, brings her own entrepreneurial skills to the IMG team. For over 10 years, she ran a successful online invitations/birth announcement company, “alphabitsoup.com” and an e-commerce site “alphabitbaby.com”
Micki has been responsible for creating the majority of IMG’s advertising portfolio. She currently lives in Connecticut with her husband and three children.
Aaron brings extensive financial and operational experience to IMG Digital. Aaron has spent the last 13 years in the real estate and insurance industries. During that time he has worked in development, underwriting, asset management, and financial analysis. This perspective allows him to provide a non-traditional approach to marketing strategy and broadens the diverse skill set of the IMG Digital team.
Aaron began his career working for Kettler, the largest regional real estate developer in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. After relocating to Connecticut, Aaron worked for an insurance underwriter, Entitle Direct Group, for 5 years. Following that, he served as Director of Asset Management and Acquisitions for a $300 million multi-family portfolio.
Jacobstein received his Masters in Business Administration from Quinnipiac University, with a concentration in finance. Prior to that, he received his Bachelor of Arts in Government & Politics from the University of Maryland. Aaron enjoys playing chess, watching his beloved Maryland Terrapins’ basketball team, and spending time with his wife and two children. He resides in Ridgefield, Connecticut.
Nick Simard, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer, brings a deep knowledge of finance and business operation and the unique capability of approaching the marketing & advertising discipline from a purely business perspective. Years of prior experience as a financial professional for a number of Johnson & Johnson operating units has contributed to his keen, effective business savvy.
Simard, who is a graduate of the Johnson & Johnson Financial Leadership & Development Program (FLDP), gained crucial experience in the company’s medical devices, consumer products and pharmaceutical operating divisions, providing him with strong leadership and project management skills. A graduate of LaSalle University in Philadelphia, where he obtained a bachelor of science in business administration, Simard also gained considerable knowledge at the prestigious French business school, L’ Ecole Supérieure de Commerce, which is based in Grenoble, France.
In support of the firm’s corporate social responsibility, Simard plays a key role in organizing and contributing to charitable organizations, including the American Red Cross and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. He was the recipient of the “40 Under 40″ Rising Stars Award in 2007, a respected achievement award that is administered by the Business Council of Westchester. Simard’s passions include family, food, wine, travel and a love of flying airplanes. He resides in Connecticut with his wife, Claire, and their two young children.
